What is a safety leash for? In the case your chickenloop happens to come un-hooked from your harness or if you purposely pull the chickenloop safety the safety leash is used to keep your kite from flying away. One end of the leash is connected to your harness and the other end you connect to the brake landing strap or one side brake leader loop. The leash also has a quick release if you need to completely get away from the kite.

HQ depowers offer "the leashless safety system" (except Neo2). Yes this is true, but we at Dakitez feel you can never be too safe. The safety leash will be your third method of safety. First sign of danger the pilot will pull the red top-hat safety on the main flying lines. That should kill the kite and end the dangerous situation! If the pilot is still in trouble pull the chicken-loop safety. Third step if the situation is still bad pull the eject quick release on the leash to become completely un-hooked from the kite. If all 3 safety devices were needed chalk that up to IT WAS NOT YOUR DAY! The good news ... You live to kite another day!
Note: The HQ safety leash is a must have to utilize the 5th line safety on the Neo 2.
